The act of being THANKFUL

The word thanksgiving to me is almost always followed by tears. I have strong, deep emotions, I cry a lot, both happy and sad, and I’m very compassionate about a lot of things, one being, thanksgiving. Not necessarily the day of the year that the world celebrates Thanksgiving, but the act of being thankful, and grateful. The sit back, pause and reflect on the grandness of all He does for me, gratitude.

Being thankful is an act, a lifestyle,  and Thanksgiving is a day, there’s a huge difference.

I wish we could just have November all year long, just to reflect on everything we’re thankful for.  Every one of us has something that we’re grateful for, be it big or small and what is small to one, is huge and life changing, or life sustaining to another.  Just thinking quietly on all that He’s brought me in life and while I don’t list them all, He knows.

Tears fall often for me in November as it’s such a time of reflection, and it always has been.  Some of my sweetest memories through the years have been during this time. I love the cooler weather, beautiful ever-changing colors of the leaves and trees, watching nature prepare for a changing season, and family and friends gathering, dwelling for a moment in gratitude. Today, I’m again grateful for life, the mere act of being gifted more days to breathe Him in and praise Him for all life brings, and all it takes, God is in charge of it all.

Never will I not be GRATEFUL

Never will I not know where my feet have stood.

Never will I not know that He stood with me.

Our greatest Father. He leads, guides, protects, provides, loves, is merciful and gracious. He’s the God that overflows His grace, redeems, forgives, and provides second chances.  All my flaws, all my failures and weaknesses, He deems me enough.  And, if I were the only ONE, He would’ve still gone to the cross, JUST FOR ME.

I’ve broken bread during some of my lowest points and I’ve eaten from the most fruitful table, and God, You’ve reigned over it all. You’ve provided me with every single thing that I’ve needed and asked for, You’ve provided for my family, both big and small.  You’ve heard every cry, whisper, plea, thank You, tear of gratefulness, and humbleness barely spoken. YOU are my Provider, YOU reign over it all, and I give You it ALL today, and ask for Your blessings.

Thank You, Lord…for every breath, every inhale and exhale, every heartbeat and everything that’s gotten me to today.

How great Thou art!

I’ll honor You every single day I walk this Earth.

Forever thankful.
